I have often considered creating a personal website as a hobby. I could include any topic that I wanted to and have total control over the sites content. However, the cost of doing so has been the main deterrent. Free web hosting could be the solution I am looking for. I recently performed a Google search for ‘Free web hosting’ and it returned 123 million results! Thus, there is clearly no shortage of free web hosting opportunities available. Generally, free web hosting services will require that your site include certain advertisements on your site, which can hurt the credibility of the content that you are publishing. For some, these ads are of no great consequence making free web hosting an ideal solution. Conversely, these ads can be detrimental to some sites that hope to have a more professional feel.
I have recently been considering creating an online resume in the hope that it would help a job application stand out among the rest of the pile.
